Regional Upper and Lower GI Endosocpy Course, June 2026
This interactive, hands-on course is designed for practicing surgeons, trainees, and other healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Two weeks prior to the course, participants will have access to recorded didactic lectures addressing current recommendations and evolving practices in the evaluation and management of dyspepsia, Barrett’s esophagus, gastrointestinal bleeding, strictures, complex colonic polyps, and endoscopic management of leaks, perforations, and fistulas, as well as patient preparation, sedation, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in colonoscopy. These lectures will review indications, contraindications, complications, and technical considerations for both basic and advanced endoscopic procedures. The in-person portion of the course includes a four-hour hands-on skills laboratory, providing participants with the opportunity to practice diagnostic and therapeutic techniques using a combination of dry models and porcine tissue to reinforce learning and support clinical applications.
