El manual Destrezas de Ostomía del American College of Surgeons fue desarrollado por los miembros de su equipo quirúrgico: cirujanos, enfermeras especializadas y pacientes. El objetivo de este manual es que usted aprenda y practique las habilidades necesarias para cuidarse a sí mismo después de su cirugía. Esto le ayudará a generar confianza en el manejo de su ostomía.

 

Target Audience

  • Spanish speaking patients who have / will have a Urostomy (Urostomía)

Learning Objectives

Objetivos de aprendizaje:

Describir los cuidados diarios necesarios para una urostomía.

Explique el material y equipo necesarios para el cuidado de la ostomía.

Describa los pasos para el cuidado de la ostomía en el hogar, incluyendo: cómo vaciar y cambiar una bolsa, cómo medir/cortar/aplicar una bolsa y habilidades básicas de resolución de problemas.

Identifique y maneje los problemas comunes de ostomía, que incluyen: piel irritada y enrojecida, barrera que no se adhiere, deshidratación, estoma inactivo, sangrado del estoma, prolapso del estoma y retracción del estoma.

Describir cómo manejar las actividades cotidianas, como bañarse, hacer ejercicio y viajar.
