Contemporary Trauma Controversies: Panel Debate (T)

Session Description

There are many controversial topics in trauma, where expert opinions and traditions, rather than scientific evidence, dictate how patients are managed. Three controversial topics will be tackled by six experts in the field, each debating opposite sides of the argument. The goal of the session is to highlight several clinical scenarios where there remains controversy over the optimal management plan. The session will provide a succinct summary of the rationale behind both sides of the debate and result in a practical take-home resolution for each of these difficult clinical questions.
