Global Engagement (No CME)

Session Description

This Panel Session will report and discuss the strategic direction of the American College of Surgeons in global and domestic volunteerism. The program will have two distinct segments: Domestic Volunteerism (30 minutes) and Global Engagement (45 minutes). During the Domestic Volunteerism segment, domestic volunteerism awardees will discuss best practices in providing volunteerism. During the Global Engagement segment, there will be an in- depth discussion of the partnerships developed by Operation Giving Back and colleges from low-and middle-income countries. The final segment will be an open mic session for Fellows to discuss the extraordinary volunteerism work they do around the globe.
