Advanced Trauma Life Support® (ATLS®), is a continuing medical education program designed to teach a standardized, concise approach to the care of the trauma patient in the "golden hour"—the period of time following traumatic injury during which there is the highest likelihood of death.
The newly redesigned MyATLS app provides access to key elements of the ATLS program and is available for a one-time cost of $9.99 for the duration of the ATLS 10th Edition version of the app. Visit, MyATLS App | ACS (facs.org), for more information and links to purchase the app. (The QR code in the ATLS 10th Edition Student Course Manual linked to the previous version of the MyATLS mobile app, which contained ATLS 9th Edition content.)

Target Audience
This activity is intended for health care providers involved in the care of the trauma patient to maintain their current status, including:

- Residents
- Advanced practice clinicians
- Medical students in their final year of study
Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate the concepts and principles of the primary and secondary patient assessment
- Establish management priorities in a trauma situation
- Initiate primary and secondary management necessary within the golden hour for the emergency management of acute-life threatening conditions
- In a given simulated clinical and surgical skills practicum, demonstrate the following skills, which are often required in the initial assessment and treatment of patient with multiple injuries

DISCLOSURE POLICY

Financial benefits are usually associated with roles such as employment, management position, independent contractor (including contracted research), consulting, speaking and teaching, membership on advisory committees or review panels, board membership, and other activities from which remuneration is received, or expected. |
Conflict of Interest: Circumstances create a conflict of interest when an individual has an opportunity to affect CME content about products or services of an ineligible company with which he/she has a financial relationship. |
The ACCME also requires that ACS manage any reported conflict and eliminate the potential for bias during the educational activity. Any conflicts noted below have been managed to our satisfaction.
