The Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Global Symposium will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 8–9, 2024, in conjunction with the COT Annual Meeting in Chicago. Join us for an outstanding educational program and the chance to network with ATLS course directors, site coordinators, instructors, and educators from around the world.

2:00-5:00 pm: Global Symposium Launch: All there is to know about the ATLS 11th Revision - Join the ATLS 11 revision steering committee, educators, coordinators and ACS staff for content updates and the timeline for launching ATLS 11th revision, myATLS app, Instructor courses, and more!

All Day (8:00 am-5:00 pm): “Pop-up” Room: Come meet the ACS Trauma Education customer service team. Representatives of the team will be available to meet 1-on-1 or in small groups. Come with questions, ideas, and to network with colleagues.
7:00-9:00 am: Networking Breakfast
7:45-8:45 am: STOP THE BLEED3 Instructor Training
9:00 am-12:00 pm: Trauma Education Around the World - Come learn from ATLS Colleagues around the world on best practices and innovations in ATLS. Speakers will be a diverse group representing different regions and various ATLS roles.
12:00-1:00 pm: Lunch, Awards, and Anniversary Recognitions
1:15-2:45 pm: Breakout Sessions (select from a number of accepted peer-reviewed proposals and learn from your Trauma Education colleagues).
3:00-5:00 pm: Plenary Session - Join a moderated panel session including prominent individuals from the ATLS community. Best practices and innovations will be shared on a wide range of relevant topics. All in attendance will also be asked to participate using an audience response system. This will also include final remarks and adjourn the education program of the Global Symposium.
5:00-6:00 pm: Networking Reception

9:00 am-12:00 pm: ATLS 11 Revision Work Groups Post-Conference Meeting (by invitation only)
Invited attendees will receive a private invitation to confirm attendance. This meeting will not be at the Hilton hotel but at another location).

Learning Objectives
- Discuss new research in patient care for trauma injuries.
- Evaluate new methods for treatment of trauma patients.
- Network and collaborate with other trauma healthcare providers.
- Recognize how to apply new knowledge and skills gained at home institution.

Financial Relationships: Relationships in which the individual benefits by receiving a salary, royalty, intellectual property rights, consulting fee, honoraria, ownership interest (e.g., stocks, stock options or other ownership interest, excluding diversified mutual funds), or other financial benefit. Financial benefits are usually associated with roles such as employment, management position, independent contractor (including contracted research), consulting, speaking and teaching, membership on advisory committees or review panels, board membership, and other activities from which remuneration is received, or expected. |
Conflict of Interest: Circumstances create a conflict of interest when an individual has an opportunity to affect CME content about products or services of an ineligible company with which he/she has a financial relationship. |
The ACCME also requires that ACS manage any reported conflict and eliminate the potential for bias during the educational activity. Any conflicts noted below have been managed to our satisfaction.
