Surgical Skills Instructor Readiness Course

This course provides a structured exploration of contemporary approaches to surgical skills education, grounded in the principles of adult learning and psychomotor skill development. Participants will examine methods to enhance content delivery through active, learner-centered teaching strategies and evidence-based instructional design. Emphasis is placed on the application of interactive techniques, constructive feedback models, and the appropriate use of simulation to support skill acquisition and performance improvement. By integrating theory with practice, the course prepares educators to design and deliver high-quality surgical training that aligns with current standards in medical education and advances learner competence and confidence.
