Non-Bariatric Surgery in the Morbidly Obese Patient

Session Description

Morbidly obese patients represent an increased complexity of perioperative and intraoperative care. This session will address risk assessment of the morbidly obese patient having non-bariatric surgery. It will discuss the requirements for equipment/beds/resources for the morbidly obese patients. Additionally, outcomes in the morbidly obese versus the non-obese patient for various procedures will be reviewed.
