CC2019: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Pathways for General Thoracic Surgery (PtS)
This session has been identified and designated as Credit to Address Regulatory Mandate for Patient Safety. Learn more about state regulatory mandates.
Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways are becoming a topic of greater interest in cardiothoracic surgery as well as in other fields of surgery. Colorectal surgery led the charge with its inception and development. In an effort to continue pushing for its use, the discipline of cardiothoracic surgery will need to learn more of the history behind it, as well as establish a working knowledge of how ERAS pathways are currently being used and optimized.
