Gastric and gastroesophageal cancers are a global problem and there have been advances in treatment in the past few years. The topics to be addressed in this session will include the methods of evaluation and imaging, the proper use of neoadjuvant therapy, and controversies in the extent of resection and lymphadenectomy.
